We're creatives, parents, and business builders. We live in a small town in Arizona where we homeschool our kids, hang out with our two dogs, and go to church on Sundays. It's busy and beautiful, and a life we've worked hard to create. But it wasn't automatic and it didn't come easy...
In 2017 Steven left a burnout job to chase a different life for our family - one where we could be with our kids, do work we love, and never settle for “just getting by.” Since then, we’ve launched (and sometimes closed!) multiple businesses, learned the hard lessons, and built a life on our own terms. Now, we help other creatives do the same - without the burnout, or BS.

A LITTLE MORE OF OUR STORY
We’re not corporate CEO's, and we don't wear pant suits to meetings.
We’re two creatives who were just sick of feeling stuck.
Back in 2017, our middle daughter had just come home from the hospital after a 3 week stay at 6 months old. We had no real savings, a lot of stress, and Steven was working a dead-end job at a recycling plant. It paid the bills, but it was draining the life out of him.
We knew we wanted more.
- More time with our family.
- More freedom to call the shots.
- More creativity in our everyday lives.
So June of 2017 we jumped. We started a recording studio. Then a music venue (during COVID, yikes). Then separate photo and video businesses. Some of them took off. Some didn’t. But we kept going. We learned how to build and how to rebuild. We began to learn what fed our souls, and what led to burnout. And guess what, like everyone else, we are still on this learning journey.
Eventually, we started Dork Social Club, offering brand photography and content creation for small businesses. Flash photos, product videos, launch-day hype - you name it.
But something kept happening. The shoot would end, and the real conversation would start.

Our clients didn’t just need more content.
They needed a way out. And that's why we decided it was time to pivot and launch our program, and bring you tools to help your small business.
